Meet the Team
Kieran

Owner & Head Coach
I was first introduced to Parkour in 2012. I was immediately captavated and began training as much as I could. I strive to improve wherever possible including academically, where Parkour has led me to studying Sport & Exercise Science to widen my knowledge and skill set. It has been my dream to create a Parkour academy almost since the beginning, basing my GCSE business studies project around it, 7 years before it became a reality! I have worked within special educational schools and currently work as a care assistant for children with disabilities. I am passionate about inclusive sport and believe everyone can benefit from Parkour! I have volunteered within both the national and international governing bodies for Parkour, keen to help the sport develop as much as I can.

I was involved in Gymnastics from a very young age and began training twelve or more hours a week until the age of around eleven, when I became bored of its rigidity. I stumbled across some Parkour classes around 2014 and that has been my driving force within sport ever since I am very interested in coaching science with a particular nack for breaking movements down into key principle motions and progressions. Another passion of mine is digital design and I am able to improve and practice this through the Academy by creating the Logo, adverts and designing our Website.

Coach
I've been practicing Parkour and Freerunning for many years albeit a bit sporadically! I've also enjoyed breakdancing and skateboarding in the past and often take part in obstacle course races. Recently my weekly routine includes Weightlifting, Parkour and Kickboxing. I really enjoy the challenges these face me with on a daily basis and now I hope I can spread that mindset to the students of Aspire.

Trainee Coach
Parkour has been a dream of mine ever since I saw the documentary, Jump London. When I was around 11, I found there was some classes in Peterborough. Here, I met Kieran and later, Callum who were my coaches for 4 years. Everyone was so nice a supportive and I knew I was in the right place. When I was 15, I was thrilled to be asked to come on board with the Aspire team as a volunteer. This was an amazing opportunity and once I was 16, I began my training to be a qualified coach and be paid to teach people what I love! It's a pleasure seeing the joy on the kids faces after helping them learn new skills and challenge themselves each week.

Trainee Coach
I was never interested in "traditional" sports, being too small for rugby and feeling alienated on the football field. It was around summer 2017 when I found Parkour classes run by Kieran and Callum. I had been interested in action sports, climbing and skiing all my life, and as soon as I finished that taster session I knew this was something I wanted to pursue. I love learning new things, completing challenges and pushing through mental barriers, nearly 4 years on I've been able to learn and do things I never thought were possible. Now, as a coach I can pass on what I've learnt to those like myself all those years ago. It's truly the best job I could've wished for and I hope I can pass on my passion to those I'm coaching.

Volunteer
Originally I was a very keen martial artist, practising many styles. Though from a young age I loved to climb trees, jump to curbs and vault over benches. I never realised that all this ‘playing’ was essentially Parkour. I started training around 2017/18, learning and pushing what my body could create. I enjoy finding a simple set of obstacles and experimenting with new ways to traverse it. At Aspire my aim is to help students embrace movements that aren't so rigid and are more creative and free flowing.
