About

I was first introduced to Parkour in 2012. I was immediately captivated and began training as much as I could. I strive to improve wherever possible including academically, where Parkour led me to study Sport & Exercise Science to widen my knowledge and skill set. It has been my dream to create a Parkour academy almost since the beginning, basing my GCSE business studies project around it, 7 years before it became a reality! I have worked within special educational schools and currently work as a care assistant for children with disabilities. I am passionate about inclusive sport and believe everyone can benefit from Parkour! I am also in the role of Membership Lead for Parkour UK, the national governing body for Parkour.

About

I was involved in Gymnastics from a very young age and began training twelve or more hours a week until the age of around eleven, when I became bored of its rigidity. I stumbled across some Parkour classes around 2014 and that has been my driving force within sport ever since  I am very interested in coaching science with a particular nack for breaking movements down into key principle motions and progressions. Another passion of mine is digital design and I am able to improve and practice this through the Academy by creating the Logo, adverts and designing our Website.

About

By day, I am a welder and fabricator and in my evenings I PT along with Parkour coaching. In 2016 I joined a cheerleading team and there I met Kieran and Dom who talked me into trying Parkour. I’ve never felt a more challenging and rewarding sport to take part in. I always strive to be practical and parkour benefits me as it not only keeps me active as a balance to my weight training but helps with keeping my mind young and proving to myself that challenges are made to be broken. With this sort of mentality I hope to inspire and help train the next generation to push themselves and use parkour as not only a physical output , but a way to express themselves from every walk of life.

About

Being able to do Parkour has always been a dream of ever since I saw the documentary, 'Jump London' when I was 11, so I started looking into parkour and clubs near me that’s when I found Kieran & Callum. They helped me to make my dream a reality. everyone was so nice a supportive of me and I just knew I was in the right place. I carried on training hard learning new tricks and skills every week and after years of training I was presented with an amazing opportunity to become a volunteer trainee coach. After I saw the joy on the kids faces after we helped them learn that one special move, I new I belonged.

About

I was never interested in "traditional" sports, being too small for rugby and feeling alienated on the football field. It was around summer 2017 when I found Parkour classes run by Kieran and Callum.   I had been interested in action sports, climbing and skiing all my life, and as soon as I finished that taster session I knew this was something I wanted to pursue. I love learning new things, completing challenges and pushing through mental barriers, nearly 4 years on I've been able to learn and do things I never thought were possible. Now, as a coach I can pass on what I've learnt to those like myself all those years ago. It's truly the best job I could've wished for and I hope I can pass on my passion to those I'm coaching.

About

Sport was never my thing but I was captivated by videos of movement on the Internet. A week later I joined the club I now work for! Learning from the ground up and pushing my limits i have been shaped into an athlete.

Now I use what I have learnt to help others on their journey to hopefully join the team of coaches one day! I'm very into my cars and modifying them, first training as a mechanic and now a car salesman by day.

About

As someone who didn't take part in much sport as kid, I first discovered parkour through video games, particularly Mirror's Edge. I instantly became obsessed, and began watching as many videos as I could find. Shortly after starting secondary school I discovered a gym that tought Parkour, which is how I meant Kieran, Callum, Luke and Dom. After continuing to train for years, Kieran and Callum opened their academy and invited me to come and work for them. I find it to be an incredibly rewarding experience and wouldn't give it up for the world.

I started learning parkour back in 2016 and I've always enjoyed running around and having fun. It was only until last year that I truly learned the core fundamentals and started to really see what parkour was about. I like parkour now for the thrill of challenging myself further and learning new things each time. I also in enjoy gaming, drawing and watching anime.

I spent most of my youth in various extreme sports and martial arts. I found parkour in 2012 and was immediately captivated by the physical and mental training that was required to achieve my goals within the sport. About

I have always been an active person since a very early age, constantly wanting to run around and do something. I never enjoyed regular sports like everyone else. I tried football, I tried teakwondo, I even tried the army cadets which was okay at first but after 3 years it just fell into the same old boring routine. It wasn't until I discovered parkour did I really feel like I fit in. Every lesson is an experience, doing something new and or different. I have done things which I thought was Impossible and because of that I have loved every single second of it. Now I am lucky enough to get to help show people my passion and hopefully get them to love it as much as I do.

About

I have being doing parkour for 4 years now and it has been a great way for me to keep active and see the different ways to interact with the world around me. I have always been active mainly with my athletics, which I still enjoy, but felt that it lacked the creativity that free running gives me. I aim to allow everyone to be creative and try whatever cool and weird tricks with the same support as given to me.

About

Being able to move freely and creatively was always a passion of mine. I had done street dance and gymnastics previously to parkour.  When I was in school I was full of energy and hyper active I just couldn’t sit still, so my parents signed me up for gymnastics. I really enjoyed it and loved seeing how far I could push my body. I then later pursed swimming for 10+ years where I continue to swim competitively. I had found some Parkour videos such as Storror and  "Jump London" and began learning some of the moves around the house and in the garden. I learned that even though I fell down and failed a lot, like I mean a lot! it was fun to try. I loved the mental challenge and overcoming barriers I thought I couldn’t. I searched for classes near me and discovered Aspire Parkour Academy. I have then been training since 2020 and love what I do, I want to push the sport out into the world and teach others my passion.

About

From a young age I have been involved in gymnastics and train at the gym where Kieran, Callum, Luke and Dom first began coaching.  I always thought their Parkour sessions looked really interesting. A few year later, I had found they had started Aspire and thought I would try it out and ended up loving it more than I thought! I can do so many more things than I could before and I’m more confident about doing them. I hope to inspire others as well and encourage them through coaching.

About

I have been jumping around my entire life, doing random things such as climbing on walls and balancing. I have also always been into Parkour and have watched YouTubers too. I enjoy working with younger people and have a bit of experience with it due to my martial arts background so when I was offered the opportunity to help coach I jumped at it.

The main thing that helps me in parkour is my life of martial arts, I have been training in tang soo do for eleven years and am now a first Dan black belt and recently placed 2nd for forms and weapons in the regional championships.

Welfare Officer &

Coach Educator

About

My full-time role is at Northampton University as a Senior Lecturer and programme lead of the Sport Coaching Degree. Prior to this I was the lead Biomechanics Lecturer at St Mary’s University in London. Outside of my day job I spend most evenings coaching aerial activities or gymnastics through my own coaching business, Inspire Coaching Academy. I genuinely enjoy spinning around and being upside down! I also work as a coach educator for British Gymnastics where I deliver L1, L2 and L3 theory courses and have also delivered the biomechanics content on the high performance and international coaching courses. I am also a coach mentor and educator for various sporting clubs

Coaching is my passion and I believe in using a holistic coaching style model, where the child is at the center of the process. This allows for wider child development, improved decision making and develops intrinsic motivation. It is the coach’s role to ensure our younger generation stays active and truly enjoys their activities for the long-term benefits. I believe in an individualised approach and that all learners should be catered for through variety and fun! We all know how different children can be and all should be provided within an environment where they can progress and be supported. I have been coaching alongside Kieran for many years now and know that we share this passion.

Social Media & Marketing

About

I started parkour back in 2012, after watching the iconic Storm Freerun Volume One video and have been a Parkour coach for an organisation in my local area since 2018, so I knows what to expect when it comes to working with a Parkour coaching Organisation like Aspire.

I also run my own Parkour project that has a focus on mental health, called Contendunt. Through this, I am a content creator on YouTube, and focus my work on explaining the benefits of Parkour & mental health.

I work alongside Kieran at Parkour UK, with my role being digital support, keeping the community connected and engaged through social media and online content creation.

You may see me making an appearance at some of our sessions, and taking photos and videos for our Facebook and Instagram pages.
